Nov. 16, 2020 Father Michael's Farewell

Greetings!  Christ Church family and friends.  As my ministry at Christ Church Coronado has drawn to an end – I want you to know that it has truly been my great joy and honor to serve as your Interim Priest.

You are ALL quite special to me.  And whenever I think of you (which will be often) – I will rejoice always and give thanks that the Lord has allowed our paths to cross.

I will fondly recall your love of God and neighbor, your spirit of outreach and concern for those less fortunate, your willingness to make a difference, your expressions of thanksgiving, and your love and support of me.

My heartfelt thanks for the wonderful celebration of my ministry this past Sunday.  And for all who worked so hard to make this such a special time.  I thank you from the depths of my soul.

The Apostle Paul wrote these words: “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).

I will rejoice always that was privileged to serve at Christ Church.  I will continue to pray without ceasing recalling each of you with great love.  And I will give thanks to God for you and your love of the Lord.

I firmly believe that you have a wonderful and bright future.  I believe God is going to bless you greatly in the leadership of Mother Regan.

Don’t ever forget how much God loves you – cares for you – and desires the very best for you.  I leave you with these final words from God as recorded in Jeremiah:  “For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11).

 God bless you!
