March 31, 2022 A Joyful Easter Indeed!

It has been three years since we celebrated Easter in our beautiful church. Three years of navigating an ever changing landscape of social distancing, masking requirements, and online worship. It is for that reason that the preparations for this Easter seem particularly joyful! Please find the details below for all of the offerings for Easter Sunday and select those that feel best for you. There is a section of the church that is for people who prefer to sit with a masked congregation, and the Christ Church livestream will be on for both the 9:00 and 11:00 AM services. Come and share the joy with us!

Flowering of the Cross

One of the most beautiful expressions of Easter comes in the transformation of the wooden cross into a bloom filled symbol of the resurrection!

Please bring a few flowers to add to the cross on Easter morning. The cross will be by the courtyard door by 8:45 AM and will stay through both services. After the second service, the cross will be placed on the altar in the Memorial Garden.

Egg Hunt for a Cause

After the 9:00 a.m. service on Easter morning children at Christ Church will participate in an egg hunt with a twist! The eggs are not filled with candy but with “Christ Church Coins". The children may make a donation to one or all of three charities of their choice by placing their coins in designated baskets and then receiving a special Easter treat. At the end of the hunt, the “Christ Church Coins” will be counted, and the church will write a check to the charity for the amount in each basket, sending the money where the children choose! This year the highlighted charities are: St. Mark's Food Pantry, Camp Stevens, and the school in Malawi.
