Easter at Christ Church
April 21, 2019
The Great Vigil of Easter – 6 a.m. – Service of Light and Holy Eucharist – Bring bells – make a joyful noise to mark the Resurrection. We begin around an eternal flame in the courtyard, where we will light the Paschal Candle, and head into the church by candle light. This is a special and unique service. The perfect way to celebrate the Resurrection!
Festal Easter Eucharist – 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Flowering the Cross - 8:45 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Please bring flowers to help turn our wood cross into a beautiful celebration of life. The cross is located in the courtyard next to the ramp as you enter the church.
Egg Hunt for a Cause immediately follows the 9 a.m. service. The eggs contain dollars that can be contributed to your child’s choice of 3 charities: Vida Joven, an orphanage in Tijuana, St. Mark’s Pantry, and the Head Start Book Drive. Children receive a special treat after they turn in their Christ Church Bucks.
Nursery Care is available for children 0-3 years during the 9 and 11 a.m. services in Claire’s Cottage, across the street from the main courtyard. The nursery is staffed by two professional nursery workers.
Pew Envelopes are located in the back of the church on the small bookshelf. The envelope contains a special Easter activity. While the activity is yours to take home, we kindly ask that you return the bags for the next child to enjoy.
Changing Stations are located in both Hinde Hall bathrooms and there are toys for little ones who need a break from the service in Hinde Hall as well. A livestream of the service is played on the screen in the hall, so that you can worship with us, if you choose to make need of either of these options.
Livestream - We will be live streaming all of our Easter services. If you know someone who is deployed, or unable to be with us for any reason, please encourage them to go to www.christchurchcoronado.org and under the services tab, they will find the livestream at the bottom of that page.
Children of ALL ages are always welcome in church!
