Our Facilities
Our church building graces the corner of 9th Street and C Avenue and is a jewel in Coronado’s architectural crown. Built in 1896 of hand-hewn granite and wood, our elegant neo-Gothic church is enhanced with stunning Tiffany-era stained-glass windows. Our campus physical footprint occupies the equivalent of an entire city block of Coronado. On the west side of C Avenue are the church, parish hall, offices, and the majority of the Christ Church Day School campus. A secluded Memorial Garden was consecrated in 2001 as a place to inter cremated mortal remains. On the east side of the avenue are the Thrift Shop, a rental apartment, our Youth and Family ministry center, our church parking lot, Clare’s Cottage (our choir, music, and nursery center), the CCDS Junior Kindergarten cottage, and school playground. In 2012, we conducted a $2 million capital campaign and used the funds to renovate our main school building and update our historic facilities.
We provide a beautiful rectory located six blocks from the church. The 2,694 square foot two-story home has three bedrooms upstairs, a study/guest bedroom downstairs, a formal dining room with built-in cabinets, a large living room with fireplace, a modern kitchen, three full bathrooms, a double garage, lots of outdoor entertaining space, and established gardens.
