The Bridge - Christ Church Coronado's Youth Group
The Bridge is made up of youth in grades 6-12. This group provides a safe place to explore world changing ideas, develop friendships, and both question and deepen faith. The group meets several times a month for both fellowship and service opportunities. Highlights of each month include:
High School youth meet in the Youth and Family Ministry Center at the back left of the parking lot. This is the spiritual based portion of our program. We will have dinner, and then program time. This fall we are starting the Nooma series by Rob Bell. This is a time to connect with God and each other, a chance to escape from our regular routine and explore what it means to be our true selves.
Teen Tuesday is a time for Middle School youth to gather and deepen their faith and relationships with friends. It is offered on the second Tuesday of the months. The group meets in the YFMC from 3:30-4:30 p.m. We gather for games, snacks and then our program.
Both Monday Message and Teen Tuesday offer a time to explore our faith in community, and have a lot of fun while we are doing it.
Our monthly service opportunities are varied both in date and in content. Past events have included fresh food distributions in City Heights, Cell Phone 101 class for parishioners, hosted a Veteran's Day luncheon, visited Vida Joven, and orphanage in Mexico, and many, many more.
Fellowship and Fun
Do you like laser tag, movies, and rock climbing?! Have you been on retreat to Camp Stevens or been locked in a Cathedral for a giant sleepover with youth from all over the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego? Throughout the year, the youth group will have many opportunities that are just plain fun.
