Oct. 5, 2020 Transition Update - Exciting News!

October 4, 2020

Dear Christ Church family,

Good news! As you know, our parish has been in a transitional phase for well over a year now since the departure of Reverend Anne last July. But we have wonderful news to report - we have called a new rector. She is Reverend Regan Schutz, coming to us from Sewanee, TN. She has plans to arrive mid-November, along with her husband Paul and two daughters Cecilia and Genevieve, to take up residence in the Christ Church rectory.

I want to particularly recognize the Call Committee, Julie Young and Matt Rich, as well as all of the members of their committee, who have, for well over a year, dedicated their time and talent to searching out a new rector for our parish. They conducted a nation-wide search and came up with many qualified candidates.Through a process of discernment and prayerful decision-making we narrowed it down to one, and that’s Reverend Regan. The Vestry and Call Committee are absolutely convinced that she is the right person for our parish and that God has sent her to lead us in the next chapter of our life here at Christ Church.

There will be more information forthcoming and we will keep you up-to-date as we move along towards welcoming Rev. Regan to Christ Church next month. We thank you for all of your continued prayers during this discernment process and hope you’ll lift continued prayers for Reverend Regan and her family as they move from their lives in Tennessee to their future home in Coronado.

Meet Mother Regan

Sincerely,
Paul Laedlein

Senior Warden
