Dec. 15, 2020 Peace and Justice Ministry - Film and Discussion

The Christ Church Peace and Justice Ministry invite you to a discussion led by Mtr. Regan about the documentary “13th” on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at 5:30 pm. “13th” explores the history of racial inequality in the United States, focusing on the fact that the nation’s prisons are disproportionately filled with African Americans. The film’s title refers to the 13th Amendment to the Constitution which abolished slavery, except as a punishment for conviction of a crime. Prior to our gathering, you can watch the film for free at this link whenever it’s convenient for you; if you’re a Netflix subscriber, you can find it there as well. We’ll join together on Zoom on January 13 for a discussion of the film and the issues it raises. Watch for the Zoom link in early January.
