Nov. 10, 2020 Farewell Father Michael
This coming Sunday, the parish of Christ Church will be saying farewell to Reverend Doctor Michael Tinnon who has faithfully served as our Interim Rector since December 1st of last year. Father Mike joined us at a critical time in our church family life, being four months into our search for a new Rector and just beginning the process in earnest. With his extensive pastoral experience, inspirational spiritual leadership, and warm friendship he was able to calm our anxieties and provide us the space and stability to discern God’s will for our parish. Father Mike’s deep personal faith and commitment was a well from which we drew faith and hope for the future. He encouraged us to learn from our past but always look forward. We will miss Father Mike very much but we celebrate and give thanks to the Lord for the time of his presence among us. We wish him and Becky fair winds and following seas and many blessings on their lives in the years to come.
