Summer 2010 events
A special thanks to our fabulous, faithful choir who lead us in worship EVERY Sunday and all seasonal special services from September through June! May each and every one of the members be blessed by their service to the Lord and our church! The choir will be taking a well deserved summer break beginning July 11th.
The following musicians and groups will be presenting special ministry in music beginning in July:
Sunday, July 4th - Westwind Brass Quintet and our choir will be leading us as we celebrate Armed Forces Sunday for all of our military members and families.
Sunday, July 11 - The Celtic Echos Trio comprised of Irish Harp, Mandolin and Flute.
Summer Choir Group still needs volunteers - thought you might like to sing in the choir but aren't ready to make the commitment? Try the summer choir - NO prep or weekly rehearsal. Begins on Sunday, July 11th @ 9:00 a.m.- 10:00 a.m. for rehearsal. Robe, process and lead worship @ 10:00 a.m. service. ! Commitment July 11 through Sept. 12th

Operatic Soprano College Music Student, Julie Taylor
Robert Weber will play a trumpet solo, sing a vocal solo and sing in our summer choir!
Valerie (violinist) and Dominique (floutist) Kim, sisters, will honor us for the last time as they and their family will be moving to New York where the girls have full scholarships to Julliard Pre-College. Valerie has been invited to study and play with the worlds most famous violinist, Itzhak Perlman! Both girls are Youth Symphony Soloist Award Winners. It will be sad to say goodbye to them.
Chase Morrin returns to our church with a piano/cello composition of his own AFTER being absent from us while he has been winning many National and International awards, performing, composing while maintaining top grades in advanced study! He will be here in celebration of his 17th Birthday!
Matt Heinecke will bless us again this summer with his phenomenal voice and guitar playing!
Christ Church Band will play at our annual "Church On The Lawn" service in August. The band will consist of members from our church with several great vocalists, lead guitar/bass guitar, violins, clarinets, trumpets, and percussion. IF you want to join us and have fun singing/playing up-beat, contemporary music for a one-time commitment, PLEASE talk to me for music to practice and rehearsal schedule. We welcome ALL ages beginning with teen-agers (who currently comprise the group) but will welcome adults.
