Service Saturday - was a great success. Over 21 people (men, women, boys and girls) worked at the San Diego Food Bank last Saturday. They worked together from 9-12 noon sorting and organizing pallets of food donations from Von's grocery stores. In addition, the volunteers carried up a donation from the Christ Church Thrift Shop for $1,000! The staff was elated and so grateful for the work we were able to do.

Round-up Sunday - Gather 'round and get the low down on the "doin's" here at Christ Church, Sunday, September 14, after services - Round-up Sunday. Ministries and groups throughout the parish will offer up information and "vittles" at booths around the courtyard. Parents - take the time to register your children for fall Sunday School (beginning September 22) at the Sunday School booth.

Acolytes - Fr. Ron will hold a second Acolyte training class September 17 at 2:30 p.m. for those who were unable to attend the August session. Children fourth grade and up are welcome. Let us know if you are coming.

Pastoral Care Ministry Needs You - the helping hands and willing hearts of parish members to accomplish our missin in reaching out and sharing God's love with our parish community at Christ Church. See how you can help.

Just How Welcoming Are You?  - Want to find out? In our Mission Statement we claim we are a "welcoming community." Are we? What does that mean? How do we be the Loving Presence of Christ to those we meet in our church? Are you doing all you can? On Sunday, September 28th, at 11:00 a.m., join your fellow parishioners in Hinde Hall to work with the Rev. Canon Stephen Wendfeldt in learning to develop your welcoming ministry. We each can bring Christ to those who visit Christ Church. Lunch will be served! Thank you and you're welcomed!
