Join Iconographer Teresa Harrison in a 5 day contemplative painting workshop. Icons representing Christ, the Mother of God, the Saints and feast days are referred to as Windows to Heaven! This rich tradition gives us a visual image to aid in understanding God’s divine word. This is a beginner course designed to introduce painting techniques in the Byzantine style of iconography, using acrylic paint and 23 ct. gold leaf. No art experience is required for this course. The icon of the Good Shepherd will be completed in a prayerful atmosphere which includes the Eucharist, Gregorian chant, praying with icons, silence, as well as lively group conversation.
