Patty Cowan

Raised in Rochester, NY in an active family of six children, I attended 12 years of Catholic schools, and followed my high school love to college in Colorado.  We married and traveled the globe after he was commissioned in the USN, arriving in Coronado in 1986.  My son Joseph was born in Coronado and Thomas followed in Charlottesville, VA. I returned with my sons in 1998 as we had kept a home here. Both are now out of college and working in the San Diego area, truly the joys of my life.  I was hired to manage the Coronado Schools Foundation in 2004, work which I truly enjoy. While I was raised Catholic, I have been on a spiritual journey over the last decade to find my spiritual home.  I joined Christ Church in 2016 and feel blessed to have found such a welcoming community, truly enjoying the work of the Service Ministry Committee.

During my years as a Navy spouse, I’ve had a variety of professional experiences in both the not-for-profit and for-profit arenas, which I hope will be of benefit to the Christ Church Vestry.  I graduated from USD’s nonprofit leadership MA program in 2007, earned a certification in planned giving from the Cal State Long Beach Foundation, and am currently participating in the Fieldstone Leadership Program. I am honored to be considered to serve on the Vestry with an opportunity to give back to such a giving community and learn more about the management of the church.  I am also an active Rotarian and enjoy biking, swimming, Pilates, reading, cooking and travel.

Jamie Glorieux

I have been a member of Christ Church since first moving to Coronado in 2005.  Carlin and I have been married for over fifteen years and  have three sons, Pete, Steven and Greyson.  Pete is in 10th Grade at Coronado High School, Steven is in 6th grade at Coronado Middle School, and Greyson is in 5th grade at Christ Church Day School.  The family is actively involved with Christ Church, Christ Church Day School, as well as other local community groups and activities including Coronado Boy Scouts, Junior Lifeguards, and several interscholastic teams and intermural sports leagues.

I am a finance accountant by trade and have been with MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc. since April 2008.  I’ve been in finance and corporate accounting for over twenty-five years with previous experience in entertainment finance at the Walt Disney Studios, Warner Bros. Studios, and Universal Studios.  I also have several years of experience in wholesale banking and healthcare finance.  I hold as B.A. degree in Corporate Communication from the University of Hartford in Connecticut, and a Masters in Business Administration from Redlands University.  I also served in the United States Marine Corps and am an active candidate for the California Board of Accountancy.

I currently serve as Treasurer for Christ Church Day School and am a member of the Parish Investment Board and the Property Committee.  I served on the Vestry from 2011–2013.  My intent of service is to continue the stewardship of our church and our community and to serve with love and faith from humility and peace.

Cheryl Janus

I became a member of Christ Church in 2015. I had retired from the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps while stationed at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and returned to San Diego. I consider San Diego as my home. I served as a greeter in 2016 and 2017 and joined the choir in September 2017. I am a member of the Hinde Society and serve on the Board. My professional experiences include a career as a U.S. Navy Nurse Corps Officer, retiring as a CAPT (06). I have taught at the University level and currently teach as Adjunct Faculty at Southwestern Community College in the Nursing Department. I consider Christ Church as my long-sought spiritual community. I consider service, in all its many forms, to be the lynch pin that binds me to this wonderful and loving parish. I would welcome this opportunity to serve on the Vestry as the pathway to expand my stewardship as a member of Christ Church.
